The Same under Military Rulers, Different Suffers

It is well-known as Myanmar is country of rich history pointing to ancient cities with authentic evidences such as Buddhist temples, pagodas etc. It is not outlandish for finding that Buddhist temples, monasteries, and pagodas are everywhere of country but it must be understood that they are always telling true long history.

If we understand those of archaeologies which are in important part of flourishing each history, it is no doubt why UNISCO named many places as world heritages. Unfortunately, UNISCO does not designate historical places of Myanmar as World Heritages because Burmese government, with unaccepted actions what’s suggestion, restored many pagodas. However, Bagan and some places of Burma heritages under smoothly control of governments are very famous and welcome all visitors.

Let’s see Mrauk U which is an ancient royal city of Arakanese Kingdom (now aka) Rakhaing State, West of Myanmar and has a lot of historical evidences. Mrauk U was ruled by 48 Arakanese kings before Burmese colony. The city, for the background of splendor Arakanese history, has many authentic information of accomplished evidences such as Koe Thaung Temple (shrines of 90,000 Buddha images), Shite Thaung Temple (shrines of 80,000 Buddha images), Htukkanthein Temple and Andaw-thein Ordination Hall and so on. Large numbers of temples are designed in Arakanese styles.

Archaeological zone (Mruak U) is faced to be intentionally destroyed by Burmese Government with ill-reason under construction of railway. Neglecting the warns of Arakanese people who against the construct, they continue to destroy numbers of priceless archaeological structures including pagodas, sculptures, city walls, fortresses, garrisons, and moats. Hearing this situation, we Arakanese are feeling biter by means of powerless to stop that terrorized action.

Not only Arakanese handicrafts and stone structures are destroyed but in July of 2010 Burmese government arrested and sentenced Arakanese Historian Ven. Pannacara, Abbot of Mahamuni Buddha Vihara Orphanage where there were many orphans taking basic education. After arrest of Ven. Pannacara, around100 Arakanese orphans were forced to move from Sittwe to Burma such as Yangon, Mandalay and Magwe. Even most of Arakanese including Rakhaing National Development Party (RNDP) objected authorities’ misbehaves, they (authorities) continually bullied.

It is understood that all people in Myanmar are under military rulers abusing human right. But other people of Myanmar exclusive Burma ethnic are really under persecution and hardly condition for their futures more than as Burma suffer.
